as if there is
a correct answer to that

while I just sit
both hands
balled into fists

wondering where the fuck
you get off on
asking me to define
my education
my stance on
abortion
civil rights
constitution
bathroom talk
locker room talk
minimum wage
and gas prices

by picking a side
when they’re created by
the same institution
profiting from this divide

and i will reply
